We’ve reached our 1 Million Milestone earlier this year, a huge achievement. Since our initial launch of our first Nespresso® compatible cleaning capsule at the end of 2015, we have been able to provide 1 Million customers with capsules that clean their coffee machines. Caffenu® is now being distributed in more than 24 countries around the globe.
We received overwhelming reviews from all over the world. Customers love the convenience of cleaning their coffee machine with a capsule.
We made valuable business connections. Caffenu® was represented at many important international trade shows in 2017: Ambiente in Frankfurt Germany, Thailand Food & Hotel Show in Bangkok, and Host Milano in Italy, just to name a few. We are continuously expanding our network of agents and distributors worldwide.
The media couldn’t help but notice our innovative products. Caffenu® made it into various trade magazines, as well as home & kitchen magazines. We were featured in the Horeca Magazine, the Housewares Magazine, Progressive Housewares and many more.
In 2017 we officially launched our Caffenu Multipod, a cleaning capsule compatible with Caffitaly®, K-fee®, Verismo®, Expressi® and Tchibo® Cafissimo® machines. We were also able to expand the distribution of our Caffenu Eco Descaler, the perfect addition to rid any coffee machine off lime scale deposits.
New and exciting things are planned for 2018. We are launching our Nespresso® compatible descaling & cleaning kit, a bundle offer which consists of descaler and cleaning capsules, all in one box. And we are about to bring out a cleaning capsule compatible with Lavazza® A Modo Mio® machines.

Caffenu already launched a cleaning capsule compatible with the Nespresso coffee machine, and it works wonderfully. The thing is, not everyone has a Nespresso machine, that’s why Caffenu decided to create a cleaning capsule that could be used in most other popular coffee machines. So, the Multipod was born, and we are going to tell you all about it.
The Multipod is compatible with Caffitaly®, K-fee®, Verismo® by Starbucks®, Expressi® by Aldi® and the Tchibo® Cafissimo® System. But why use a capsule to clean the machine in the first place?
The brewing chamber of coffee machines can be full of bacteria and overall gross things and sadly we cannot clean it ourselves, hot water is not enough unfortunately. The cleaning pod is inserted just like a coffee capsule – it doesn’t get any easier. The Multipod releases a cleansing foam inside the brewing chamber, cleaning the whole front part of the machine, getting rid of bacteria and old coffee oil. The machine is cleaned on the inside as it “brews” the cleaning substances inside the capsule – just rinse afterwards, leaves no residue!
Caffenu actually tested the product with a group of customers and the average score they got was a 4.7 which is considered excellent, proving that the Multipod works and does the job well.
A clean machine not only makes your coffee taste better, but can actually improve the life span of your machine – if you think it is broken, it might just need a good clean. Please don’t forget, using a cleaning capsule on your machine is only one part of the process. Please also remember to descale your machine regularly. Cleaning does not replace the need for descaling!

We know that the Caffenu® cleaning capsule removes old oils, tannins and odors out of the brewing chamber of your Nespresso® coffee machine.
But what is inside the capsule that makes it work so well?
Short answer no. Long answer also no.
The capsule contains a food safe product formulation which is specifically designed for the coffee industry. It comprises of 3 main ingredients that make a unique blend to clean your machine with the best possible results.
The first ingredient is sodium carbonate which is in fact a similar ingredient to bicarbonate of soda, but sodium carbonate has twice the sodium than bicarbonate of soda. It also has weak disinfectant properties and it is an effective fungicide against some organisms. It is also a great odor remover and works as a mechanical cleanser.
The second main ingredient is our oxygen based bleaching agent. This ingredient gives the Caffenu® product the unique foaming action as well as its powerful dirt and residue lifting power. This ingredient makes sure that inaccessible areas in your machine are cleaned properly.
The third main ingredient is the surfactant – this in simple terms is the detergent part of the ingredients. It allows the oils to mix with water which usually do not mix. And works to break down the surface tension of the water.
All of the ingredients lend to each other to make the unique Caffenu® product.
