Info

All coffee machines and equipment are susceptible to limescale and rust build-up. These build-ups develop when heated water with a high mineral content makes contact with a coffee machine’s internal components, like the boiler and piping.

Limescale and rust build-up can be removed and prevented by adopting a descaling routine, especially in regions with “harder” water.

Our Caffenu® Universal Descaling Powder was designed with an advanced formula and powerful ingredients, providing a hassle-free way to restore the efficiency and longevity of your machine, ensuring the best performance.

Frequent descaling helps extend the lifespan of your coffee machine, preventing cold coffee temperatures and machine damage. Descale every 2-4 months, depending on water hardness in your area.

Why the Caffenu® Descaling Powder?

Failure to remove limescale and rust build-up from a coffee machine can be detrimental to its lifespan and ability to brew satisfactory coffee.

Limescale and mineral accumulation prohibit a coffee machine’s heating efficiency, leading to weak machine performance.

Our specially crafted descaling powder is highly effective in removing limescale deposits, calcium, rust, and other mineral build-up from coffee machines and equipment. It effortlessly dissolves and eliminates stubborn residues, bringing back the pristine condition of your machine.

Regular use of the descaling powder prevents the accumulation of scale in your coffee machine, extending its lifespan and reducing the chances of malfunction or breakdown.

What is the difference between cleaning and descaling?

Cleaning and descaling are two distinct processes that serve different purposes when it comes to maintenance and upkeep.

Cleaning refers to the removal of dirt, grime, and stains from the brewing unit, group head, and other components that make contact with coffee. It involves using a cleaning powder or tablet to eliminate impurities.

On the other hand, descaling specifically targets the removal of mineral deposits, such as limescale, calcium, rust, and other build-up that accumulates over time.
